The 2005 Upward Bound music class was taught once
again by Phil Cook. Last year's class had such an
electrical atmosphere that we were really eager to have him
back.
Phil had originally planned to have a three hour session like
last year, but unfortunately, the class was cut to only an hour
and a half. We were really bummed out but we continued to
have loads of fun.
During the music session, we used our imagination to create titles for
instrumental pieces. We created music with Found Sound, a technique
that uses everyday objects to make musical sounds.
To our dismay, Phil Cook will be leaving
this program to pursue his music career with his band, Deyarmond Edison. We wish
Phil the best of luck.
